"A whole day. From dawn to dusk, from seven in the morning until ten at night. Agustí Fernández experimented, improvising the passage of time at the piano, reflecting in sound a full day. The challenge took place at the Nau Côclea, in Camallera, in the province of Girona, where artist met - or rather fused - with the piano. Solo. His only companions were the objects and materials he uses to extract from the instrument the most varied repertory of sounds and effects... Agustí Fernández discovered niches and brought unimagined sounds out of the soul, more than out of the machinery of the piano itself. Through the whole day le passed through the subtlest and most Harmonious moments, on the way to others where he seemed to want to take the notes beyond the doors of the paroxysm of sound. He used the keyboard but also put himself inside the instrument. He struck, scratched, caressed the piano strings, "modelling" the material of time Agustí Fernández lived and made others live an unrepeatable moment, a happy interval of time through sound, an enhanced present he progressively models at his fancy, fused with his piano..."
